Fashion Studies sparks your career in the fashion industry while developing your own voice as a designer.

As a designer, I like to think about what makes me happy, and what will make people smile. My goal is to make clothing that makes people feel happy, fierce, feminine, and bold all at the same time. A lot of my work is inspired by rock and roll music and feminist icons. My final collection, Cherry Bomb, is inspired by 1970s female rockers with a fun & flirty modern touch. I really just wanted to make it fun and bold as to distract from reality.

What is your most memorable

experience at KCAD?

I had the opportunity to travel all the way to Australia with the Fashion Studies program. It was such an amazing experience. It was so cool to see how the fashion industry goes on the literal other side of the planet. We got to meet so many cool people who are big in Australia's fashion world, and became enriched with the history of fashion in Australia while there.

What are your most

notable accomplishments?

During my final year at KCAD, I actually opened an online boutique. My goal post graduation is to start introducing my own line of clothing to it, and eventually open a brick and mortar!
